the end (so long and goodnight)

Last night, for the second time in my karaoke history, i sung "helena" by my chemical romance.

i got hooked to the song the first time i saw the music video at my myx some years back that i could still recall how "helena" gripped my attention as soon as it begun playing: the tempo, the lyrical flow, the 'noise' resembling anxiety, the dramatic mv (read my lips: black), and gwapo si gerard. hahaha.

oh don't get me started about gerard way, he is now married with a kid. and yes, i follow him on twitter too hahaha.

everyone's favorite line in the lyrics is "so long and good night" (it is oftenly mistaken to be the title of the song) that have used it as my vending name in ragnarok (back when i was a prontera tambay at iris). i don't really know why i was attracted to those 5 words but i related...maybe it was because they perfectly describe what an end should be.

now i don't care about what other people think about emo/punk music. what probably disturbs me is the criticism i get for listening to so-called noise. why, did they ever bother to ask why i appreciate certain bands with a penchant for expressive hmm...screaming?

to those who are asking right now, my answer: i simply find it aesthetic, even at my age. geez, i know how to distinguish music from noise.
